News Release Assignment Details:

Write a one-page press release announcing a new product, service or initiative from your selected corporation. Make sure you show through your messaging why this is newsworthy.

Peer Personality Profile Assignment Details:

Write a 500-word article on another person in this class (assigned). You are not writing this person’s resume. You are choosing something interesting about this person to focus on and creating a story around that.

Email Pitch Assignment Details:

Write an email pitch to a journalist/influencer asking for something that will promote your organization in a newsworthy way.

CEO Message Assignment Details:

For this assignment, you will create an email message from your corporation’s CEO announcing that all travel and associated expenses have been frozen starting immediately through the end of Q4 in an effort to meet tight budget numbers for year-end.

Ethics Analysis Assignment Details:

In the role of head of PR at your corporation, respond to one of the three options below in 400-500 words (double-spaced, indented paragraphs). Choose an option that you can easily apply to your chosen corporation. As you develop your answers, you must refer to the PRSA Code of Ethics and tie these into your response.
