Scroll Story
I created this scroll story to center a conversation that is often misunderstood or overlooked, how Black hair is deeply tied to identity, autonomy, and lived experience. I wanted to go beyond surface-level awareness and instead explore how something so personal has been historically regulated and politicized in the U.S. Through this project, I learned how design can be used as a powerful storytelling tool not just to inform, but to evoke emotion, challenge assumptions and create space for reflection. It also deepened my understanding on the platform Figjam and how I could use it to speak on the connection between cultural expression and policy.
